Her love of the arts led her to study different mediums at the esteemed Tyler School of Art, known internationally for its world-renowned professors and emerging technologies. It was through this intense education that Himic not only developed an incredible knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) but also cultivated extraordinary engineering abilities, enabling her to create unique snap-fit mechanisms, which would later become a beloved feature of her signature collection.
After graduating from the appraised program with numerous awards and accolades, Ellen spent several years as an apprentice to a widely respected jewelry craftsman. It was through that experience that she learned to harness present-day technologies of the jewelry industry and realized that combining this knowledge with her past training would be the perfect foundation for bringing her artistic creations to life.
